Governance
The governance structure of the FRCAW is made up of three bodies :
A STEERING
COMMITTEE
consisting of the Director of the FRCAW and the representatives of the signatory members to the constitutional agreement of the FRCAW
A network of scientific
and technical experts
to provide support to public authorities and stakeholders
An advisory
committee
bringing together all those involved in animal welfare to facilitate consultation and shared reflection
A network of scientific
and technical experts
The FRCAW calls on a network of identified experts that encompasses all the skills required for the understanding of the welfare of animals under human management in all its aspects.
These experts are drawn in the first instance from the institutions who are signatories to the FRCAW agreement and then from the partner institutions of the Advisory Committee.
Experts from outside organisations may also be called upon for their expertise in related field(s).
An advisory
committee
Membership of the Advisory Committee of the FRCAW is currently open to over 40 stakeholders including :
- The French Ministry of Agriculture and Food's DGAL (Directorate-General for Food) and DGER (Directorate-General for Education and Research);
- CNOV (French national veterinary council), FSVF (French federation of veterinary syndicates), SNGTV (French national society of veterinary technical groups), FNGDS (French federation of health protection groups);
- APCA (French Chambers of Agriculture);
- FNSEA (French federation of agricultural syndicates), Coordination rurale, Confédération paysanne, Jeunes Agriculteurs;
- COOP de France - La Coopération Agricole (French agricultural cooperative);
- INTERBEV (French interprofessional association for livestock and meat), INAPORC (French inter-professional pork association), CNPO (French committee for the promotion of eggs), CLIPP (French inter-professional committee for the promotion of rabbit products), ANVOL (French inter-professional association for poultry meat production), ANICAP (French inter-professional association of goat producers), CNIEL (French inter-professional centre for the dairy sector), CIPA (inter-professional committee for aquaculture products);
