Preview: The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for pig welfare provides practical answers to questions asked by farmers, producer groups and government departments concerning the implementation of regulations related to animal welfare. It has been set up in response to the contents of the Order issued on February 24, 2020 concerning the supply of manipulable materials and access to water and food.
A Working Group, led by the Brittany Chamber of Agriculture comprised of representatives of professional organizations (Inaporc, FNP, La Coopération Agricole, UGPVB, Chambers of Agriculture), IFIP, groups of pig producers, the veterinary organizations SNGTV and AVPO, and Government, has been charged with the provision of answers to the questions raised.
The aim of this FAQ is to provide ongoing clarifications on the regulations, agreed between the Government and the Profession, in order to harmonize their application in the field. It has a national scope and has no regulatory value.
