Summary: This note constitutes the annual update to the French official schedule of formal animal welfare checks to be carried out with regard to animal transport and sets the priorities for 2020. The general principles of the previous schedule are broadly maintained. However, certain programming details and the frequency of checks have been modified compared with previous years. More stringent export controls have been incorporated into the annual schedule (but frequency of checks has been modified compared with that of more stringent checks in 2019). All references to RESYTAL have been updated and new inspection methods have been included.
