Preview: France is under attack from CIWF (Compassion in World Farming) before the  European authorities for the French state's "lack of will" to enforce the Community directive banning systematic tail docking for piglets. "For 26 years France has been in breach of the law by failing to apply correctly the European Directive [dating from 1994] on the docking of  pigs' tails," said CIWF, in a statement released on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. The group says it has filed a complaint against France this week with the European Commission.
