Document type : VetAgro Live podcast of VetAgroSup (7 min 28)

Preview: By detecting and quantifying the physiological and behavioural signals we provide (heart rate, number of steps, sleep time, etc.), connected objects such as smart watches, bracelets, scales, etc. can help us to improve our health and welfare. And their numbers are on the rise.

Dorothée Ledoux, a lecturer-researcher in zootechnology and herd medicine at VetAgro Sup and a member of the FRCAW Chair expert group, is using this same approach to generate  objective assessments of the welfare of animals, using sensors to detect and quantify each animal's behavioural signals.

In this 2-part podcast, she tells us all about these networked objects, the data she collects from them and the agreements she enters into with farmers.
