Preview: Created to serve victims, witnesses, health professionals, political and administrative leaders, lawyers and journalists, the website of the Association against Animal and Human Abuse (AMAH) (https://www.amah-asso.org/) is built on the conviction that "the fight against animal and human abuse requires recognition and consideration of the link [between them] so that everyone can act, in their own capacity, to protect animal and human victims".
[...] AMAH works to counter these forms of abuse by focusing on the link between them so that it can better protect and help the animals and humans who face  them. Its mission is to study this link, to raise awareness among those involved, to bring them together, and to improve legislation. Among those it brings together are veterinarians, health professionals, lawyers, etc.
The site is organised around the idea that there is One Domestic Violence, covering the links between animal and human abuse established by 40 years of publications, the incorporation of the link into legislation and the various international associations in the field.
Downloadable practical tools
It reminds those using the site of the reality of domestic violence: animal abuse, violence against children and women and abuse of vulnerable persons, and provides practical information for those who find themselves in a range of circumstances - those who are unsure, those who are victims, health professionals, etc.
The AMAH makes practical tools available for download, and online facilities for veterinarians when a certificate must be issued or a report made. These documents have been designed in consultation with the Conseil national de l’Ordre des vétérinaires.
