Preview: Society's expectations concerning animal welfare are increasing. Certain practices employed during the early lives of dairy calves are currently being called into question, notably the use of individual stalls. Moreover, the European regulations may soon require group housing for calves from the very first days of their lives. The purpose of the COLOCAVO project is to establish baselines in this area, so that farmers and technicians can be provided with possible ways to move to group housing systems. The project partners plan to keep the public updated on their findings throughout the project. A first webinar will be held on June 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
