Preview: In order to take the welfare of equids into account, it must be possible to assess it in an objective and standardised way. In 2020, a new protocol, Cheval bien-être (Horse welfare) been created to assess the welfare of sport/leisure horses. Incorporating the latest scientific knowledge, the protocol is in French and thus easily accessible to all French speakers who care for horses.
