Preview: Pig farms: what will tomorrow's farms look like? A partnership led by Midiporc has come up with some answers after a 5-year project.
The sustainable outcomes of this work are for the benefit of:
- farmers, designers and decision-makers on the development of buildings
- the wider industry, a network linking breeders to processors, distributors and consumers
- consumers of products
- members of the public who care about what livestock farms look like
- the ever-changing regulatory requirements.
The goals set out by the group were turned by IFIP into concrete projects for buildings that reconcile animal welfare needs and environmental protection.
