Preview : Animal welfare has become a major public concern in recent years. This concern can be viewed by farmers as a new and additional constraint, but also as an opportunity. Everyone can make changes on his or her own scale, but a whole set of conditions must be met to make these changes possible. A commitment is required from all those involved, from farmers to consumers.Using evidence provided by real farmers, we will take a look at the possible ways to remove these obstacles and best support farmers' commitment to animal welfare. A round table will discuss the main lessons learned from the experiences of the farmers.
