OBJECTIVES:
Core training : Knowledge and identification of animal welfare issues  Knowledge of current animal welfare assessment measures Understanding of the benefits of taking animal welfare into account
Stress prevention: Knowledge of the factors that can cause stress or pain in animals, and how to deal with them Knowledge of the criteria for alerts in livestock farming and how to apply them, and of slaughter techniques and the protocols for their use.
