Preview: As the season draws to a close, the I-Cad database has reported its figures for lost animals during the summer of 2024. Cats are by far the largest category, with a 36% increase in declarations between the beginning of June and the end of August. These figures may be 13% lower than those for the summer of 2022, when the number of animals reported lost by their owners to the national database topped the 30,000 mark, but they nevertheless remain high.
