Practical factsheets summarizing the results of the European GOPEI Occitanie project, which involved all relevant stakeholders (farmers, all parts of the industry, consumers) in designing a pig farming facility that would take account of both animal welfare and environmental protection. A factsheet is provided for each rearing stage (post-weaners, fatteners, sows awaiting insemination, gestation, maternity). Each sheet includes information on feed type, housing design, good practices and environmental performance. Materials are also provided that concentrate on the associated costs, and on each good practice.
