The Commission points out that such movements, which are associated with transfers of animal ownership, are covered by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/688, which does not require the use of TRACES.

The majority of citizens support stricter measures, such as a ban on shipping and long-distance transport, and a shift towards transporting meat rather than live animals.
