EquiPass is a free self-assessment application for equine owners.

This is the only application that enables professionals to review their own performance, to follow the Equine Welfare Charter, and to receive a certificate as evidence of their commitment. By using EquiPass they can also quickly check their compliance with the main regulatory requirements, and even to receive notifications of changes to the rules. Last, the application includes a biosecurity test for owners to assess health risks in their stables.

By watching this online talk, you can discover all the other features that have been built into the application to make life easier for those who own and care for horses.

... How EquiPass came into being ...

The idea of developing EquiPass dates back to three years ago. It began in response to requests from professionals for a way of checking that they were complying with their legal duties. We also wanted to help those in the sector working on quality initiatives, who saw it as a useful tool to support the improvement of practices.

We wanted something very simple, quick and fun, with simple codes (green, I'm good, red, I need to improve...). At the beginning of 2020, we did the work to include the equine welfare self-assessment feature and the possibility of signing up to the charter.
