Preview: The disbudding of young goats reduces the risk of injury between animals and facilitates their access to food. In order for this intervention to be successful, a number of rules for good practice need to be followed. The discussions initiated in 2020 by the goat industry (ANICAP) with the support of Idele and the contribution of SNGTV, OMACAP and GDS France, have led to the production of two documents that provide up-to-date advice on recommended practices and the choice of equipment best suited to the animals.
