Evaluation of the roll-out and impacts of the mandatory origin labelling scheme for milk and meat used as ingredients in processed products that was trialled in 2017 and 2018. The assessment was carried out at national level and focused in particular on the cost for the various stakeholders in the sectors concerned and for consumers, as well as impacts on purchasing behaviour. This note sets out the main lessons learned from this evaluation.
